2X has agreed to acquire Knownwell in a move the company says will create the first human-agentic go-to-market services firm serving B2B clients across marketing, sales, and customer success functions. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The combination merges 2X's managed marketing services infrastructure with Knownwell's agentic AI platform, which blends human expertise with autonomous software agents to execute and optimise revenue-generation workflows. No headcount or revenue figures were provided by either party ahead of closing.

For food and beverage operators and suppliers increasingly reliant on data-driven demand generation, the emergence of human-agentic service providers represents a structural shift in how mid-market and enterprise brands outsource commercial functions. B2B-facing segments of the industry — from ingredient distributors to foodservice technology vendors — have accelerated spending on integrated sales and marketing platforms since 2023 as procurement cycles lengthened and buyer-journey complexity grew. Coverage of that spending trend has been tracked by Food & Beverage Magazine and reflected in a series of technology and supply-chain deals across the sector.

The acquisition also arrives as private-equity-backed services roll-ups intensify competition for AI-capable talent and proprietary workflow tooling. Buyers in adjacent verticals, including consumer packaged goods and foodservice distribution, have begun evaluating agentic AI vendors as potential replacements for fragmented point solutions in their commercial stacks, according to analysts covering B2B marketing technology adoption in food and beverage.

2X did not provide pro-forma revenue guidance or a projected closing date. Integration timelines and leadership structure for the combined entity were also not announced at the time of writing.
