Plymouth, Wisconsin-based Carbliss is permanently adding the Backyard Bliss Pack to its ready-to-drink cocktail portfolio, retiring the limited-edition Americana branding but retaining the Apple, Cherry, Grape and Strawberry flavors that drove it to become one of the brand's fastest-selling innovations since its 2019 founding.
The Numbers
According to Circana data for the four weeks ending July 12, the Americana Backyard Bliss Pack ranked as the #4 highest-velocity SKU in the spirit-based RTD segment within Total U.S. Food — a performance achieved at just 22% national distribution. The variety pack also logged multiple #1 rankings for sales, velocity and year-over-year growth across Wisconsin, Iowa and the broader Plains region. Hannah Williamson, Data Analyst at Carbliss, said the national performance, combined with the charitable impact of the product, confirmed the case for permanence. "The response to the Americana Backyard Bliss Pack exceeded our expectations," Williamson said.
Cause Marketing Impact
Beyond the sales metrics, the pack generated more than $75,000 for Missions of Honor, a Wisconsin nonprofit that organizes honor flights for veterans. On July 24, Carbliss team members accompanied Vietnam veterans on an Old Glory Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. Co-Founder Adam Kroener called the experience transformative: "Standing alongside those veterans on the Honor Flight is something our team will never forget." The Sip for a Cause campaign tied sales volume directly to veteran-focused charitable giving, a model increasingly common among craft and premium RTD brands looking to differentiate on values as the category grows more crowded.
Portfolio Strategy
The transition strips the Americana anniversary branding and replaces it with packaging designed for long-term shelf presence, while keeping the flavor lineup intact. For Carbliss, the move reflects a broader innovation-to-permanence pipeline that has helped the brand sell more than 216 million cans since launch and expand into 23 states. The company has earned back-to-back recognition as the #1 Food & Beverage Company on the Inc. 5000 list, a marker that has drawn retailer and distributor attention as the spirit-based RTD segment continues to outpace beer-based alternatives in measured channels.
The Backyard Bliss Pack is currently rolling out through existing Carbliss distribution markets. No pricing or expanded distribution targets were disclosed. With velocity data already in hand from the Americana launch, the brand enters the permanent rollout with a clearer shelf-placement argument than most new RTD SKUs carry at introduction — a meaningful advantage as retailers rationalize space across an increasingly dense better-for-you alcohol set. Carbliss positions the line on a zero-carb, zero-sugar, 100-calorie platform, attributes that continue to resonate with health-conscious adult beverage consumers and inform ranging decisions at both conventional grocery and convenience chains.
