Domino's Pizza (Nasdaq: DPZ) is pairing its recently launched single-serve Domino pizza with Minecraft Dungeons II in a global promotional deal spanning 19 markets, the Ann Arbor-based chain confirmed Oct. 21. Beginning Oct. 26, customers who purchase the Domino — the company's block-shaped, made-for-one pizza — gain access to collectible packaging, loyalty-gated in-game cosmetics, and a sweepstakes distributing 20,000 digital copies of the game, each valued at $29.99.

The Mechanics

The promotion runs on two tracks. First, every Domino purchase comes in one of six limited-edition boxes featuring Minecraft Dungeons II characters — Corrupted Creeper, Prime Enchanter, Valorie, Zombie, Pig, and Creeper — available while supplies last. Second, Domino's Rewards loyalty members who order online receive a randomly awarded in-game item redeemable in Minecraft Dungeons II: a branded avatar skin, a Slice Slayer cape, or a Cheesy Cube companion pet — the latter described as the franchise's first co-branded partnership pet. Codes are delivered directly to members' rewards accounts and require a separately purchased copy of the game.

On the sweepstakes side, Domino's will distribute 2,000 Minecraft Dungeons II Standard Edition download codes daily from Oct. 26 through Nov. 4 — 20,000 in total. Entrants must submit proof of a Domino purchase at dominos.com/minecraft-dungeons-ii; codes are redeemable on PC and Xbox only and must be used by Dec. 31, 2027.

Why the Partnership Matters

For Domino's, the tie-up is both a loyalty driver and a product-launch amplifier. The Domino pizza — introduced earlier this year as the chain's first product explicitly designed around individual, at-home consumption occasions — needed a marketing moment capable of reaching a digitally native, younger demographic. Gaming integrations have become a proven acquisition channel for quick-service operators: several major chains have used in-game item drops and platform-native activations to lift loyalty program enrollment and digital order frequency, two metrics Domino's actively tracks. The company generated more than 85.0% of U.S. retail sales through digital channels in 2025, making loyalty-linked digital promotions a core commercial lever.

The Minecraft franchise brings formidable reach: the base game remains the best-selling video game of all time, with active players in every country and territory. Minecraft Dungeons II is the sequel to the action-adventure spin-off, and Domino's represents its first brand partnership — giving biz.dominos.com exclusive positioning at the game's commercial launch.

Global Rollout

The collaboration extends well beyond the U.S. market. Domino's confirmed participation from 19 international markets: Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, the Netherlands, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Mexico, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Spain, Taiwan, and Turkey. Qualifying products, code distribution mechanisms, and activation timing vary by country, giving local franchise operators flexibility to adapt the promotion to their market conditions.

With more than 22,700 stores across 90-plus markets and trailing four-quarter global retail sales exceeding $20.7 billion, Domino's has the distribution infrastructure to make a global gaming partnership logistically credible — a scale few restaurant brands can match. A custom Minecraft Dungeons II-themed version of the chain's Domino's Tracker order-status tool is also in development, with details to follow ahead of the Oct. 26 launch. Operators and franchise investors tracking digital marketing strategy in quick-service restaurants should note the promotion's deliberate design: every reward is gated behind a loyalty account, nudging casual buyers toward registered membership.
