Rhonda Bassett-Spiers has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Ever.Ag, the Dallas-based technology, data, and analytics provider serving the agricultural supply chain, the company announced on 10 September. She succeeds Scott Sexton, who spent more than three decades building the business and will transition to a Strategic Advisor role, retaining ties to the company's board and leadership team.

The Executive Slate

Alongside the CEO transition, Ever.Ag has named Paul Crist as Chief Revenue Officer and Troy Meyers as Chief Customer Officer. Crist will oversee global sales and go-to-market strategy, with a mandate to deepen customer penetration across Ever.Ag's software portfolio and surface new growth opportunities. Meyers takes responsibility for implementation, support, and customer success — functions increasingly critical as agri-tech platforms compete on retention as much as new sales. The three appointments constitute a substantial re-engineering of the company's senior commercial layer.

Bassett-Spiers brings more than 25 years of experience scaling technology businesses across complex markets. Her stated priorities at Ever.Ag centre on four vectors: strengthening core product lines, deepening customer partnerships, accelerating software and platform innovation, and expanding the application of data analytics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies across the agricultural value chain.

Why This Matters for Food Supply Chains

Ever.Ag sits at a strategically important intersection for the broader food and beverage industry. The company serves farmers, producers, processors, cooperatives, and agribusinesses — effectively spanning the upstream inputs that feed downstream food manufacturing and foodservice operations. Decisions made at the agri-tech layer, particularly around commodity risk management and supply visibility, directly affect procurement cost and supply-chain resilience for food and beverage manufacturers.

The leadership reset arrives as the agri-tech sector faces intensifying pressure to translate AI and data-analytics investment into measurable operational outcomes for customers. Food and beverage operators relying on commodity price forecasting, crop visibility, and logistics optimization tools have grown more demanding about platform performance and integration depth — precisely the areas Ever.Ag's new executive trio is tasked with addressing.

Stephen Davis of Banneker Partners, Ever.Ag's backer, cited Bassett-Spiers's "strong track record of leading and scaling technology companies, developing high-performing teams, and creating meaningful value for customers" as central to the selection. "We believe she is the right leader for Ever.Ag's next chapter," Davis said.

Outlook

Bassett-Spiers framed the opportunity in explicitly food-systems terms. "Ever.Ag has deep industry expertise, longstanding customer relationships, and a unique position across the agricultural value chain," she said. "We have an exciting opportunity to combine that expertise with software, data, analytics, and AI to help farmers, producers, processors, cooperatives, and agribusinesses operate more effectively and make better decisions."

For food and beverage industry observers, the signal is clear: Ever.Ag is positioning for a more aggressive growth phase, with enterprise software expansion and AI-driven decision tools at its core. How quickly the new leadership can convert that ambition into contracted recurring revenue will determine whether the restructuring delivers the growth its investors are anticipating.
