Hilton Worldwide Opens 100th Property in India, Targeting Tier-2 Hospitality Boom

Hilton Worldwide Holdings opened its 100th property in India this week with the launch of Hilton Garden Inn Indore, marking a milestone in the company's accelerated expansion across India's rapidly growing hospitality market.
## Where the growth is going
Hilton said it now has more properties in India than in any other Asia Pacific market outside China, with another 75 hotels in the development pipeline. The company is increasingly focused on tier-2 and tier-3 cities, where domestic travel demand has grown more than 20% annually since 2023.
"India's middle class is reshaping global hospitality demand," said Alan Watts, President of Hilton Asia Pacific. "The growth isn't just in Mumbai and Delhi — it's in Indore, Coimbatore, Vizag, and dozens of cities the global industry has historically underweighted."
