Holiday Inn Club Vacations has opened Stone & Current, a premium steak and seafood restaurant at its Orange Lake Resort in Kissimmee, Florida, making the venue available to the general public for the first time alongside its debut in Visit Orlando's Magical Dining program.

The Concept

Located in the resort's River Island area at 12031 Spences Trace Drive, Stone & Current positions itself at the intersection of upscale resort dining and family accessibility — a combination that operators in the leisure hospitality segment have increasingly pursued as a way to capture ancillary food-and-beverage revenue beyond the core guest base. The menu centers on fresh-cut steaks, seafood, curated wine selections, handcrafted cocktails, and signature desserts. Operating hours run daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. for dinner, with weekend brunch Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and a lounge open nightly until midnight.

Magical Dining Entry

Stone & Current joins an expanded cohort of more than 180 Orlando-area restaurants participating in Visit Orlando's Magical Dining, presented by Orlando Health, which runs August 14 through September 30, 2026. The program offers diners a three-course prix-fixe dinner for $40 per person, plus tax and gratuity — a format that drives trial at higher-end venues by lowering the barrier to first visit. The charitable component adds a cause-marketing dimension: $1 from each $40 meal sold benefits OCA (Opportunity, Community, Ability), an organization supporting individuals with autism and other developmental differences, with Visit Orlando committing additional donations to six further nonprofits.

"Stone & Current was created to bring a premium dining experience to Orange Lake Resort while still feeling warm, comfortable and approachable for families," said Thad Gregory, Senior Vice President of Resort Operations at Holiday Inn Club Vacations. "Participating in Visit Orlando's Magical Dining for the first time gives us an exciting opportunity to introduce Stone & Current to diners throughout Central Florida."

Strategic Context

For Holiday Inn Club Vacations — a vacation-ownership operator with 22 resorts across the United States and the Mexican Caribbean — expanding its public-facing food-and-beverage footprint represents a deliberate effort to monetize existing real estate assets and build brand awareness beyond the timeshare guest. Resort F&B has emerged as a meaningful revenue line for hospitality groups, particularly in high-traffic leisure markets such as Orlando, where visitor volumes support full-service, destination-style restaurants rather than convenience-only outlets. Opening Stone & Current to the public effectively transforms an amenity into a standalone revenue center, competing directly with Kissimmee's wider restaurant landscape. The move mirrors a broader trend in resort foodservice strategy in which hotel and vacation-ownership brands invest in elevated dining concepts to differentiate their properties and improve per-guest spending metrics. For regional operators watching the Orlando market, Stone & Current's entry into Magical Dining — alongside more than 180 competitors — will serve as an early test of whether resort-anchored restaurants can capture meaningful walk-in and drive-in traffic beyond their captive guest populations. Analysts tracking hospitality F&B development will note that the prix-fixe mechanism, priced at $40, sits at the accessible end of premium dining, a deliberate positioning choice given the family-oriented brand identity.
