Hozpitality Group has named the finalists for its inaugural Best 30 General Managers Power List – California 2026, a recognition program spanning luxury, lifestyle, airport, convention, and boutique hotel segments across the state. Winners will be announced and celebrated at an awards ceremony on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Theatre & Foyer, The Westin Los Angeles Airport.

The Field

The finalist pool draws nominees from properties affiliated with Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton, Four Seasons, Fairmont, The Ritz-Carlton, Omni Hotels & Resorts, Sonesta, Taj Hotels, W Hotels, EDITION Hotels, Proper Hotels, The Peninsula Beverly Hills, Hotel Nikko San Francisco, and more than a dozen additional brands and independent operators. The nominated general managers collectively represent decades of leadership across all major hotel tiers, from select-service to ultra-luxury. The Top 30 Most Popular General Managers will be selected through a combination of public online voting and industry engagement from colleagues, employees, guests, suppliers, and hospitality partners.

Who Attends — and Why It Matters

The event is expected to attract approximately 80–100 senior hospitality professionals, including hotel owners, management company executives, regional leaders, and hospitality suppliers from across California. The Gateway Los Angeles Airport Business District (Gateway LA BID) has joined as Associate Partner, adding a local economic-development dimension to an evening framed around leadership recognition and professional networking.

For the foodservice and food-and-beverage supply community, events of this kind serve as concentrated access points to the general managers who control on-property F&B programming, outlet concepts, catering contracts, and procurement relationships. California's hotel sector — anchored by major gateway markets in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego — represents one of the largest captive foodservice volumes in North America, making its GM class a commercially significant audience for suppliers, distributors, and hospitality technology vendors.

Platform and Outlook

Hozpitality operates Hozpitality.com and Hozpitalityplus.com, connecting more than 1.3 million hospitality professionals globally through recruitment, networking, and industry recognition. The California GM Power List is part of a broader U.S. expansion strategy that includes networking events, leadership forums, and career initiatives.

"General Managers are the driving force behind successful hotels," said Raj Bhatt, Founder & CEO of Hozpitality Group. "They inspire their teams, create memorable guest experiences, develop future leaders, and navigate an ever-evolving industry with resilience and innovation."

Hozpitality is currently welcoming sponsorship partners whose products and services support hotel operations, hospitality technology, design, procurement, staffing, food and beverage, sustainability, and guest experience — signalling that the platform views the California event as a recurring commercial vehicle, not a one-off ceremony. For context on how operator-facing recognition platforms are reshaping foodservice procurement relationships and influencing hospitality industry partnerships, the dynamics at play in California mirror broader national patterns tracked across the F&B supply chain.
