The Product
Jones Soda Co. (OTCQB: JSDA) is extending its licensed entertainment partnership with Bethesda Softworks with the launch of the Jones x Fallout "Vault-Dweller Variety" 12-Pack, a club-retail-exclusive collection set to begin shipping in late September ahead of Fallout Day on October 23, 2026. The release marks the fourth consecutive Fallout-themed club drop for the Seattle-based craft soda maker, reinforcing a distribution strategy that uses limited-edition licensed collectibles to drive club-channel traffic and premium price positioning.
The 12-pack contains four glass bottles each of three Nuka-Cola variants: Nuka-Cola Quartz, Nuka-Cola Cranberry — both making their real-world debut — and the returning Nuka-Cola Quantum, which has anchored previous releases in the series. The package also includes a custom Quartz-themed bottle opener, collectible caps, and a display-ready collector bag. It will be sold exclusively at participating club retail locations across the United States and Canada, with no e-commerce or mass-retail distribution indicated at launch.
Channel Strategy
The club-exclusive format is a deliberate commercial decision. By restricting availability to warehouse club locations, Jones Soda creates a scarcity dynamic that supports the treasure-hunt merchandising model those retailers are known for — a mechanic that has proven effective for limited-edition food and beverage products seeking to generate earned media and fan-driven sell-through without broad promotional spend. For Jones Soda, which competes against far larger non-alcoholic beverage players, licensing deals with high-affinity entertainment properties offer a route to margin-supportive, full-price volume in a channel where premium impulse purchases are commonplace.
"The 'Vault-Dweller Variety' pack is about more than beverages — it's about bringing pieces of Fallout lore into reality," said Scott Harvey, Chief Executive Officer of Jones Soda Co. "This collection represents exactly what we love about these partnerships: taking something fans have imagined for years and creating a way for them to experience it in the real world."
What's Next
The entertainment-licensed beverage segment has grown into a meaningful revenue category for craft and independent NAB brands, as explored in our coverage of emerging non-alcoholic beverage licensing trends and the broader craft soda competitive landscape. For Jones Soda, successive Fallout releases suggest the partnership is performing well enough to warrant continued investment — though the company has not publicly disclosed sell-through figures or revenue attributable to the club program. With Fallout-branded entertainment remaining in cultural circulation following the success of the Amazon Prime Video adaptation, demand for co-branded merchandise and consumables tied to the franchise shows little sign of abating heading into the holiday gifting window.
