Grupo Jumex has begun a U.S. retail push for its GoMix gummy line, placing the fruit-juice-based snacks in select Walmart stores and on Walmart.com in May 2026 — the brand's first significant move beyond beverages and into the competitive packaged-snack aisle.
The range launches in two variants: Original Mix and Spicy Original Mix. The latter draws on sweet-and-spicy flavor profiles associated with Mexican consumer preferences, a positioning that aligns Jumex with a broader industry trend of culturally rooted snack innovation targeting Hispanic and crossover audiences in North America.
Jumex, best known in the U.S. for its nectar and juice drink portfolio, is leveraging the Walmart distribution network — the country's largest food and beverage retailer by store count — to accelerate category entry. A Walmart rollout provides immediate national shelf presence and online visibility without the prolonged regional broker cycle typical of independent grocery chains, giving the brand a faster path to consumer trial data.
The gummy segment sits within a broader confectionery and fruit-snack market that has posted consistent volume growth as consumers trade between candy and perceived-better-for-you formats. Products formulated with real fruit juice carry a label-claim advantage that brand managers have increasingly exploited at the point of sale, particularly in mass-market channels where price-value signalling is acute.
No financial terms, wholesale pricing, or distribution volume targets were disclosed by the company. Analysts covering the Latin American packaged-foods sector have noted that cross-category extension into snacks represents a lower capital-intensity growth lever for beverage operators facing margin pressure from input costs and refrigerated-logistics inflation. Jumex's move into ambient-shelf gummies is consistent with that playbook, sidestepping cold-chain complexity while broadening its addressable retail footprint in the U.S. market.
