The Launch

KFC is rolling out its Hot Ranch Big Dip nationally as of Aug. 24, pairing the new condiment with the return of Double Crispy Hot Wings in a limited-time menu play designed to capture ranch-category momentum. The 4-ounce portion — described by the brand as twice the size of a conventional dipping cup — is available as a standalone add-on or bundled into two new Big Box meal configurations.

The move draws on measurable consumer demand: according to market-research firm Datassential, 75% of U.S. consumers like or love ranch dressing, with 44% eating it weekly. KFC is positioning the oversized format as a direct answer to what it calls the "extra ranch" friction point — the habit of customers requesting multiple backup cups at the counter.

Menu & Pricing Structure

The Hot Ranch Big Dip anchors four distinct menu entries. A Double Crispy Box Meal with Wings and Sandwich bundles three Double Crispy Hot Wings, a KFC Chicken Sandwich, wedges, the 4-ounce dip, and a medium drink. A parallel Box Meal replaces the sandwich with three Original Recipe Tenders. Hot Ranch Loaded Wedges — a large order of KFC's crispy wedges topped with six pickle slices and drizzled with the sauce — round out the LTO alongside the dip sold as a solo side. Prices and participation vary by location; the offer is available while supplies last.

For quick-service operators and franchise investors, limited-time condiment extensions have become a reliable traffic driver. Sauce-forward LTOs generate repeat visits from core users while providing a low-capital-intensity way to refresh the menu without a full platform overhaul — a dynamic explored in our QSR trend coverage.

The IShowSpeed Play

KFC is backing the launch with a celebrity partnership that skews deliberately toward streaming audiences. Ishowspeed — a global streaming personality with a documented, years-long public affinity for the brand — stars in a 60-second commercial titled "KFC Hot Ranch" and is contracted for additional activations through fall 2026. "We're excited to team up with IShowSpeed because he's been part of the KFC story long before this partnership," said Melissa Cash, Chief Marketing Officer of KFC U.S. "Great ranch should be enjoyed, not rationed, which is why we made our Hot Ranch Big Dip twice the size."

The influencer-to-brand-ambassador pipeline is a growing acquisition channel in foodservice marketing, particularly for Yum! Brands (NYSE: YUM) properties targeting younger demographics. KFC's decision to formalize an existing organic fan relationship — rather than sign a celebrity with no prior brand association — mirrors a broader industry shift toward authenticity-driven campaigns that food and beverage marketers have increasingly favored. KFC Corporation operates more than 30,000 locations across 150 countries and territories as a subsidiary of Yum! Brands.
