Red Tree Beverages has launched Minute Maid Spiked Vodka Lemonade Iced Tea, a no-carbonation alcohol-ready-to-drink product rolling out to retailers nationwide this summer at 5% ABV and a suggested retail price of $16.99 for an 8-pack of 12 oz. cans.

The new SKU contains real vodka and 3% lemon juice, blending lemonade and iced tea flavor profiles. A 16 oz. single-serve can carries a suggested retail price of $3.49, giving retailers two entry points across convenience and multi-pack channels. The release broadens the Minute Maid Spiked Vodka Lemonade sub-line, which previously comprised Classic and Pink varieties.

Portfolio Context

Red Tree Beverages, a firewalled subsidiary of The Coca-Cola Company established in 2022, operates by licensing Coca-Cola trademarks to third-party alcohol manufacturers and distributing through independent wholesalers. The Minute Maid Spiked ARTD portfolio now spans vodka-based and wine-based segments: vodka offerings include Vodka Lemonade (Classic, Pink, and now Iced Tea) and Vodka Punch in four flavors (Classic, Tropical, Berry, and Citrus), while wine-based cocktails cover Lime Margarita, Strawberry Daiquiri, Piña Colada, and Blue Hawaiian — packaged in 1.5L glass bottles, 750ml PET bottles, and 200ml mini cans.

ARTD Category Dynamics

The alcohol-ready-to-drink segment has been one of the fastest-growing categories in off-premise beverage retail, as mainstream brand licensing strategies — typified by Coca-Cola's firewalled subsidiary model — compete with hard seltzers and spirit-based canned cocktails for convenience-channel shelf space. Iced tea-lemonade hybrids, sometimes called Arnolds or half-and-halfs in the non-alcohol segment, have demonstrated durable consumer demand, giving the flavor combination proven retail velocity before it reaches the ARTD shelf. For distributors and chain buyers, the format's no-fizz profile also differentiates it from the carbonated hard seltzer set, potentially opening placement in adjacent cooler sections.

Lou Grill, President of Red Tree Beverages, said the addition "made sense" given the brand's existing lemonade equity. "The Vodka Lemonade Iced Tea is the ideal summer beverage as a familiar favorite with the bold taste of Minute Maid Spiked," Grill said, describing the launch as consistent with the company's focus on classic flavors and broad consumer appeal.

For retail buyers and foodservice operators evaluating the ARTD set, the dual-SKU structure — convenience single and club-adjacent 8-pack — reflects a distribution strategy designed to maximize channel coverage rather than concentrate volume in a single format. That approach aligns with broader trends in premixed cocktail packaging that trade publications have flagged as a driver of category incrementality. Operators in the on-premise and event hospitality segment may also find the no-carbonation format simpler to serve in bulk.
