Panel Focuses on Women Farmers and Food Leaders The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) will host a panel discussion titled "The Global Table: Where Food, Agriculture and Opportunity Meet" at the Americas Food & Beverage Show in Miami, recognizing the International Year of the Woman Farmer. The panel takes place Monday, Sept. 14 from 11:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET in Hall A at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Panelists include Chef Tania Harris, a James Beard Award semifinalist and owner of Azucar Skull; Allison Tucker, director of sales at Maple Leaf Farms; and Hannah McGee, a farmer and agricultural entrepreneur serving as an international marketing representative for the Illinois Department of Agriculture. Megan Weeks, senior director of international trade programs at NASDA, will moderate.

Discussion to Explore Market Access and Supply Chain Collaboration The conversation will examine shared challenges and opportunities related to market access and collaboration across food and agriculture. Panelists will highlight connections among farmers, chefs and agribusinesses and explore how stronger collaboration can open new pathways for growth, expand access to markets and elevate the contributions of women across the global supply chain. Media interested in attending or scheduling interviews should contact Derrek Miller (derrek.miller@nasda.org) and Enrique Sori (esori@wtcmiami.org) by 4 p.m. ET Thursday, Sept. 10. The panel is part of NASDA's broader international trade programming at the show, which now celebrates its 30th year. The event connects U.S. food and beverage suppliers with international buyers from foodservice, distribution, retail and manufacturing sectors.

Why It Matters

For operators and distributors seeking to diversify sourcing and expand market reach, this panel signals NASDA's commitment to elevating female-led enterprises and supply chain innovation. The discussion reflects growing momentum in recognizing women's role in agricultural exports and rural economic development.
