Visit Orlando's Magical Dining, the annual prix-fixe promotion that has become one of the Southeast's largest destination dining events, opens its 21st edition on Aug. 14 with 188 participating restaurants — a record for the program — including 38 new additions and 16 MICHELIN Guide-recognized establishments.

Restaurants will offer three-course menus priced at either $40 or $60, plus tax and gratuity, through Sept. 30. The milestone participation count marks a meaningful step up from prior years and signals continued momentum in Orlando's full-service dining sector, which has expanded rapidly alongside the destination's tourism infrastructure.

The Numbers

For operators, the economics of the program function as a structured customer-acquisition vehicle. Participating restaurants accept a fixed per-cover price point in exchange for exposure to the estimated 75 million annual visitors to the Orlando market, as well as local diners seeking accessible entry points to higher-end venues. The charity component adds a further layer of community engagement: Visit Orlando donates $1 per $40 meal and $2 per $60 meal to designated nonprofits. Since the charity element was introduced in 2009, the program has directed nearly $3.3 million to local organizations. The 2026 primary beneficiary is OCA (Opportunity, Community, Ability), which supports individuals with autism and developmental differences. An additional $3,000 is awarded to nonprofits in each of Orange County's six commission districts.

"This is shaping up to be the biggest year in the history of Visit Orlando's Magical Dining," said Casandra Matej, president and CEO of Visit Orlando. "Few programs create this kind of positive impact for restaurants, diners and our community all at the same time."

New Entrants and Venue Mix

The 2026 roster breaks new ground with ÔMO by Jônt, the program's first Michelin-starred restaurant, joining the lineup alongside two dining options at Universal's Helios Grand Hotel — a sign that the major theme-park operators are increasingly leaning into destination dining as a differentiated amenity. Other new additions include a rooftop restaurant with fireworks views and a private pickleball club restaurant opening exclusively to the public for the duration of the event. The breadth of concepts, from a cozy jazz supper club to MICHELIN-recognized fine dining, reflects a deliberate strategy to widen the program's demographic reach and compete for both leisure visitors and local repeat diners. For the foodservice industry, the inclusion of MICHELIN-tier venues at a $40–$60 price point lowers the trial barrier and can accelerate longer-term customer frequency — a dynamic well-documented in comparable prix-fixe markets such as New York City's Restaurant Week. Industry operators tracking consumer dining trends and Orlando's hospitality market will note that 188 venues represents a deepening of the city's serious culinary identity beyond its theme-park identity.

Companion Hotel Program

Visit Orlando's Magical Nights, the lodging companion to Magical Dining, runs concurrently from Aug. 14 through Sept. 30. Participating properties include Evermore Orlando Resort, Grande Lakes Orlando, Hilton Orlando, Lake Nona Wave, and Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, with additional properties to be added. The bundled dining-and-hotel offering is designed to drive incremental room nights during what has historically been a softer shoulder season for Central Florida hospitality, effectively converting the dining promotion into a yield management tool for area operators. Orlando Health returns as presenting sponsor for a third consecutive year in its role as Visit Orlando's official Health & Wellness Partner.
