The New Lineup

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, Inc. (NASDAQ: RRGB) is deploying a broad menu offensive beginning Oct. 19, headlined by a limited-time Prime Rib Stack Burger and a simultaneous value push that brings two returning fan-favorites onto its Big YUMMM Deals menu at a $9.99 entry price. The moves reflect the casual-dining chain's dual-track strategy: capturing premium spend while defending traffic with accessible price points across nearly 500 U.S. and Canadian locations.

The Prime Rib Stack Burger layers a hand-pressed beef patty with sliced prime rib, Monterey Jack cheese, caramelized onions and garlic aioli on a black-and-white sesame seed brioche bun, served with a bottomless side. The format — beef-on-beef with an upscale cut — targets the indulgence segment that has driven LTO performance across casual dining peers in recent quarters. At the same time, the Bleu Ribbon Burger and Burnin' Love Burger return to the Big YUMMM Deals menu, each bundled with a bottomless side and bottomless beverage, with the full meal starting at $9.99 for dine-in at participating locations.

Beverage Strategy

Red Robin is also entering the energized-beverage occasion with a new Bottomless Refreshers line offered in five flavors — Tropical Dragon Fruit, Mango Passion Lemonade, Sunset Lemonade, Poppin' Purple Lemonade and Raspberry Limeade — all upgradeable with Red Bull. The Red Bull tie-in is a calculated move: energy-drink add-ons have become a significant beverage revenue lever for casual-dining operators seeking to compete with the customizable-drink formats popularized by specialty beverage chains. Bottomless beverage programs, a longstanding Red Robin differentiator, extend the concept to a younger, trend-driven consumer cohort.

"Burgers are in our DNA, and we wanted to create a burger that brings a little extra indulgence to the table," said Brian Sullivan, executive chef and vice president of Culinary & Beverage Innovation at Red Robin. Sullivan added that the Refreshers line was designed to "tap into some of the most fun and current beverage trends our guests crave."

Broader Menu Context

Beyond the burger and beverage headlines, Red Robin is simultaneously introducing Spinach Artichoke Dip, two new chicken wing flavors (Lemon Pepper and Lemon Pepper Buzz), a Signature Grilled Chicken & Broccoli entrée, and two new milkshakes — Cookie Dough and Salted Caramel Brownie. The breadth of the refresh signals an effort to widen visit occasions and reduce reliance on any single daypart or protein category, a priority for casual-dining chains managing post-pandemic traffic softness.

The $9.99 bundle — entrée, bottomless side, and bottomless beverage — represents a deliberate pricing anchor in an environment where consumers have shown heightened sensitivity to full-service check sizes. Whether the value-tier additions incrementally lift guest counts or simply shift existing diners toward lower-margin SKUs will be a key metric to watch when Red Robin reports its next quarterly results. The chain operates through its wholly owned subsidiary, Red Robin International, Inc., under the trade name Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews.
