Ruth's Chris Steak House Indianapolis Northside has opened two expanded private dining rooms and a dedicated bar lounge, Prime Hospitality Group (PHG) said Tuesday, adding capacity for corporate buyouts and social events at one of its 13 Midwest and Southeast franchise locations.

The New Spaces

The build-out adds the Estate Room, which accommodates up to 36 guests, and the Vintage Room, which seats up to 24. A private bar and lounge, open Friday and Saturday evenings, is positioned as a pre-dinner cocktail or nightcap venue. PHG is also making the full footprint — both rooms plus the bar — available as a single buyout for larger private functions, broadening the revenue potential of the site beyond its standard dining covers.

Why Private Dining Is a Growth Lever

Dedicated private dining and event space has become a priority investment for full-service steakhouse operators as they seek to insulate revenue from walk-in traffic variability. Corporate gatherings, milestone celebrations, and holiday parties command higher per-head spend and often carry food-and-beverage minimums, making them structurally more profitable than open-floor covers. For franchise operators in particular, private event revenue can lift average unit volumes without proportional increases in front-of-house labor. PHG's move aligns with a broader hospitality trend: upscale-casual and fine-dining chains are reconfiguring floor plans to capture group dining demand that accelerated following the post-pandemic return of in-person corporate entertainment budgets.

PHG operates 13 Ruth's Chris Steak House locations in addition to Marriott and forthcoming Hilton hotel properties, and it develops independent concepts including The Exchange, Brasserie 23, and Un Deux Trois Café — a diversified portfolio that gives the Indianapolis-headquartered company cross-selling leverage when corporate clients plan multi-day or multi-venue events.

Operator Outlook

"This expansion reflects how we continue to evolve the Ruth's Chris experience to meet the way our guests want to gather and celebrate," said Kristy Rans, President of Prime Hospitality Group. "Whether it's an intimate dinner, a corporate gathering or a larger celebration, these spaces allow us to create a more personalized experience while delivering the hospitality our guests know and expect."

The rooms are now open and accepting reservations. The expansion is the latest signal that franchisee-led capital investment in experiential dining upgrades remains active even as broader restaurant construction costs have pressured margins across the sector. PHG has not disclosed the capital outlay for the renovation.
