Salad and Go has overhauled its menu with the launch of Menu 2.GO, introducing tiered combo pricing starting at $3, a new entry-level salad format priced from $5.99, and an all-natural flame-seared USDA steak — the chain's most significant product expansion since it entered the Nevada market.

The rollout targets a documented gap in the quick-service segment: a July 2026 survey commissioned by the company and fielded among 512 consumers in Arizona and Nevada found that approximately 49% of respondents consider it difficult to find meals that are simultaneously healthy, fast, and affordable. A separate data point from the same survey found roughly 42% frequently feel sluggish after a greasy fast-food lunch — consumer sentiment that fast-casual operators have increasingly cited when justifying better-for-you menu investment.

The Pricing Architecture

Menu 2.GO structures value around two combo tiers. The $3 combo adds a small drink and a select side — Pita Chips & Hummus, Cheese Quesadilla, Pita Chips, or Sea Salt Chips — to any salad or wrap. The $5 combo unlocks any-size drink and a broader side selection including Chicken Quesadilla, Steak Quesadilla, Mac & Cheese Cup, Soup Cup, and Pita Chips & Loaded Hummus, with upcharges of $1 to $2 for bowl-size portions. A new smaller salad starting at $5.99 adds a lower entry point to the lineup. The chain also promotes app- and online-exclusive value: $1 off Caesar salads and wraps, $6 salads bundled with breakfast burrito purchase, and $9.99 weekend combos.

For a drive-thru operator competing against legacy quick-service chains on price, the structured combo architecture is a deliberate move. Value-tier bundling — long a staple of burger and chicken chains — has migrated aggressively into the fast-casual and better-for-you segments as inflation-weary consumers trade down from full-service dining while still demanding ingredient transparency.

Seasonal Items and Steak Protein

Beyond the combo restructuring, Salad and Go is simultaneously launching four seasonal items: the Elote Salad (roasted corn, pepitas, jalapeños, cotija cheese, Tajín), the Summer Crunch Salad (flame-seared steak, tomatoes, pickles, crispy onions), Coconut Lemonade, and Coconut Cold Brew. The addition of USDA steak as a permanent protein — described as all-natural and flame-seared — positions the chain to compete for a higher average ticket on protein-forward orders, a category dynamic also playing out across fast-casual salad and grain-bowl concepts.

"We listen closely to our guests, and Menu 2.GO brings that feedback to life," said Mike Tattersfield, chief executive of Salad and Go. "This major menu evolution gives guests more choice, flexibility and value, making it easier to enjoy delicious, nutritious food every day."

Chef Daniel Patino, co-founder and executive chef, noted that the expansion reflects 18 months of iterative product development: "Over the past 18 months, we've expanded the menu with new proteins, sides and seasonal offerings based on what our guests told us they want. Menu 2.GO brings those choices together in a way that's even more flexible."

Scale and Competitive Position

Salad and Go currently operates 70 drive-thru-only locations across Arizona and Nevada. The drive-thru-only format keeps real estate and labor costs structurally lower than dine-in fast-casual peers, a model that has attracted attention from franchise and multi-unit investors tracking emerging QSR concepts. Menu 2.GO is available system-wide immediately, accessible in-location, online, and via the brand's app for pickup or delivery. Tattersfield indicated further menu innovation is planned for the months ahead, signaling that the launch is positioned as a platform rather than a one-time refresh.
