The Collaboration
Taco Bell is rolling out a three-item Tajín-branded limited-time lineup at its nearly 10,000 U.S. locations beginning August 13, representing what both companies describe as Tajín's most extensive national quick-service restaurant menu collaboration to date. The launch formalizes a partnership that was first previewed at Taco Bell's Live Más LIVE fan event in 2024 and subsequently validated through test-market runs that generated sufficient demand to justify a nationwide push.
The Menu and Pricing
The lineup spans savory and beverage formats. The Tajín Taco — a crunchy shell dusted with Tajín Clásico Seasoning and filled with seasoned beef, Spicy Ranch sauce, lettuce, shredded cheese and mango salsa — retails at $2.99 and ships with a Tajín seasoning packet. The Tajín Cheesy Gordita Crunch, priced at $5.99, applies the same seasoning to Taco Bell's flatbread-wrapped format, incorporating a three-cheese blend of mozzarella, pepper jack and cheddar. On the beverage side, the Tajín Pineapple Strawberry Freeze is available in 16 oz. for $3.99 and 20 oz. for $4.19, blending tropical pineapple and strawberry-flavored syrup with Tajín for a sweet-sour-spiced frozen drink. The price architecture positions the entry taco as an affordable trial vehicle while the Gordita Crunch anchors the ticket-building end of the lineup.
Why It Matters
The deal carries broader strategic significance for both parent operations. For Tajín International, which has sold in the U.S. since 1993 and now distributes across more than 70 countries, a systemwide Taco Bell activation provides consumer-facing reach at a scale that retail shelf placement alone cannot replicate. For Taco Bell — a subsidiary of Yum! Brands operating across more than 40 countries — ingredient co-branding with a recognized condiment label follows an industry pattern of QSR operators using trusted third-party flavor brands to reduce consumer trial friction and justify menu price points. Chile-lime flavor profiles have gained measurable traction across snack, beverage and foodservice categories over the past several years, driven in part by the growing purchasing power of Latino consumers and broader crossover adoption. The collaboration sits squarely within that trend.
Luis Restrepo, Chief Marketing Officer, North America at Taco Bell, framed the partnership around shared fan communities rather than product novelty. Haydeé Fernández, Director of Alliances at Tajín International, characterized the tie-up as an extension of Tajín's broader positioning as a cultural platform rather than a single-use seasoning. Grammy-winning artist Peso Pluma, who has 45 million monthly Spotify listeners and attended Taco Bell's Live Más LIVE event earlier in 2026, is featured in the campaign and participated in a tasting session at Taco Bell's Test Kitchen before the lineup was finalized.
On the merchandising side, 400 limited-edition Taco Bell x Tajín bag charm sets — each with an approximate retail value of $77, for a total prize pool of $30,800 — will be made available exclusively through Tuesday Drops in the Taco Bell app on August 18 at 2:00 p.m. PT. The collectible drop format, which requires Taco Bell Rewards membership, is a tested mechanism the chain uses to drive app engagement and loyalty program sign-ups. For operators and brand strategists tracking QSR limited-time offer performance, the combination of a tiered price structure, a co-branded ingredient with strong multicultural resonance and an app-gated collectible represents a layered traffic-driving approach that goes beyond a standard seasonal menu rotation. Analysts covering food and beverage licensing trends will note that Tajín's move into QSR co-development — at this scale — could encourage competing seasoning and condiment brands to pursue similar foodservice partnerships.
