The Product
HexClad, the Los Angeles-based premium kitchenware brand, launched a $149 Wine Chiller on November 4, introducing a dual-puck temperature-control system it claims is the first of its kind in the category. The product is immediately available in the U.S., Canada, and Australia, with a United Kingdom and European Union rollout scheduled for November 6.
At the core of the product is a pair of interchangeable Stay-Cool Pucks filled with phase-change material. One puck is calibrated to hold approximately 45°F for white wine; the other targets 60°F for red. A pre-frozen puck is inserted into the base of the chiller, the bottle is set on top, and the system maintains the target temperature for up to four hours — eliminating the condensation and dilution problems associated with ice-bucket service. Double-wall, vacuum-insulated construction provides an additional thermal buffer.
Design and Collaboration
The chiller's exterior was designed by Ini Archibong, creative director for STILL G.I.N. By Dre and Snoop, extending a creative partnership that previously produced a HexClad Cocktail Shaker. Archibong carried the honeycomb geometry first established in the STILL G.I.N. bottle into a hex-faceted wine chiller finished in Mirror Chrome and Gold. The design is intended as a serving-table centerpiece rather than a purely functional vessel — a positioning consistent with the premiumization trend reshaping the at-home entertaining segment.
"The hybrid pan was HexClad's first category-defining product. The Wine Chiller carries that ambition forward," said Daniel Winer, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of HexClad. "It brings together purposeful innovation and exceptional design to transform a familiar essential into something entirely new."
Holiday Barware Push
The Wine Chiller anchors HexClad's holiday 2026 barware push, which also includes four additions to its Cocktail Shaker line. The 25-ounce shaker, priced at $99, is now available in Antique Brass and Gunmetal Black alongside existing Gold and Chrome finishes. A new 20-ounce format, designed for single-serving use and priced at $89, debuts in Rose Gold and Chrome and ships with a built-in jigger, strainer, and leakproof lid.
The barware category expansion signals a deliberate effort by HexClad to diversify beyond its core hybrid cookware business. Premium kitchenware brands have increasingly targeted the entertaining segment, where gift-season purchase intent is high and average selling prices support healthier gross margins than commodity cookware. The wine accessories market, in particular, has attracted elevated positioning from multiple operators as premiumization in wine and spirits retail accelerates heading into the holidays.
The STILL G.I.N. collaboration also gives HexClad a co-marketing vehicle with an established spirits brand distributed nationally through Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits — a channel relationship that could amplify retail placement opportunities for both parties. That kind of cross-category brand alignment has become a recurring playbook in premium kitchen and bar accessories, where lifestyle associations often carry as much commercial weight as product specifications.
