The Anniversary Push

Peter Piper Pizza, the CEC Entertainment subsidiary operating more than 115 locations across the United States and Mexico, is deploying a multi-pronged anniversary campaign effective Nov. 2 — combining a limited-edition collectible game card, a new subscription-style savings pass, a returning specialty pizza and the chain's largest single arcade refresh to date.

The moves are aimed squarely at driving repeat visits and lifting average check at a moment when family-entertainment dining concepts are competing aggressively for discretionary consumer spend. Rival operators in the pizza-and-entertainment segment have accelerated game-floor capital investment over the past two years, making Peter Piper's 100-plus new arcade and clawcade machine rollout across all Arizona, Mesquite, Texas, and New Mexico locations a direct competitive response.

The Savings Pass Numbers

The centrepiece of the anniversary offer is the Piper Savings Pass, a two-tiered subscription card starting at $45.99 that provides unlimited venue visits over two months, 100 to 200 free game points per day, and up to 40.0% off food and beverage purchases. Points can be shared across up to four funpass cards per household — a feature designed to increase per-visit party size and, by extension, incremental food and beverage revenue.

Purchasers of the pass at participating Phoenix, Tucson, Mesquite, National City (California), Albuquerque and Roswell locations will also receive a limited-edition token-shaped funpass card modelled on the brand's original arcade token from its 1973 founding. The collectible card functions as a standard tap-to-play game card and doubles as a Prize Pod redemption instrument, adding a trading-card dynamic that operators in the family-dining and entertainment space have used successfully to extend dwell time and social sharing.

Menu and Floor Updates

On the food side, Peter Piper Pizza is returning its Extreme Pepperoni pizza — layered with sliced and diced pepperoni, signature spices and a garlic butter crust made from the brand's fresh, made-from-scratch dough — for a limited run at participating locations. The pizza starts at $19.99 and is available for dine-in, carryout and delivery. A new seasoned fries line, offered in Salted and Cajun varieties, rounds out the menu additions and provides an incremental attach item to pizza orders.

Genaro Perez, chief marketing officer at Peter Piper Pizza, framed the combined effort as both a heritage play and a growth driver. "Bringing back our iconic token in a new, collectible way is a fun nod to the generations who grew up with us, while our new Extreme Pepperoni pizza and biggest game refresh yet give families even more reasons to visit," Perez said.

The arcade expansion — featuring titles including Guardians of the Galaxy, SpongeBob Ticket Coaster and Angry Birds Boom! — represents the brand's most significant single-cycle game-floor investment and is intended to reduce the attrition risk that accompanies aging arcade hardware. New machine inventory is a known driver of revisit intent in the family entertainment center category, where game-floor freshness is routinely cited by operators as a primary lever for visit frequency.

Founded in 1973 in Glendale, Arizona, Peter Piper Pizza donates more than $600,000 annually to schools, hospitals and children's nonprofits — a community investment posture that supports brand affinity in its core Southwestern U.S. markets.
